It starts With Snana Yatra and Runs Through Anasara, NetraUtsava,NavaYauvana Darsana and ends with Pahandi Vijay or proceeding to The Chariots In Procession.
On The Morning Of Rath Yatra the cars Of Lord Jagganath,Subhadra and Balarama stand in order From The Aruna Stambha ,on the Bada Danda,The Grand Road Facing Gundica temple.After the Rituals inside Temple are completed The Procession Starts among the tune Of hundreds Of Musical Instruments like Gongs, drums, Conch shells and overall ecstatic Cries Of ‘Jai Jagannath’ by millions of Devotees. When all The Deities are Placed on the Cars ,The King Of Puri arrives to Perform Chera Pamhara which actually means cleaning the chariots with the help of a golden broom stick .This Symbolizes that He is Mukhya Sevaka Of The Deities Of Sri Mandir.The Chariot is dragged to Gundicha temple which is approx 3kms From main temple which takes around 6-10 Hrs To Reach .The Deities Remain in the Gundica Vedi For nine days and On The Tenth Day the Return Car starts Towards The Main Temple With Same Pomp & Splendor.
The Cult Of Jagannath Embodies within itself the principles Of Secularism, religious tolerance, equality Of Caste & Creed and Socialism. The car festival is Not only a colorful display of the Hindu religion But also an occasion for the sense Of fraternity and ecstatic involvement of the masses above all the barriers Of Multicultural and multilingual Indian Society.
Day 01 : Arrival at Puri Rly Station Early Morning and Transfer to Toshali Sands by Resort bus.Traditional welcome Followed by Welcome Drink.Checkin at Your pre-allocated Rooms.
After Breakfast Proceed to Lord Jagannath Temple To experience Netrotsava when devotees can see the fresh attire Of Lord Jagannath after Anasara after 15 days on the Rantnavedi.Return To the Resort for Lunch. Afternoon relax at Resort and Enjoy Sunset at Balighai Beach.
Day 02 : Wake Up In Early Morning To view the Magnificent Sunrise at Balighai Beach 1.5Kms From Resort By Resort Vehicle .The Beach is One Of The Most Pristine Beaches Of East Coast. Return To Resort for Breakfast. After an Early Lunch proceed to experience the famous Car Festival By Resort Coach.One can also perform The Holy duty To Drag the Ropes of the Chariot.Late evening Return To The resort.Dinner and Overnight at Resort.
Day 03 : After Breakfast Checkout & depart For the world Famous Sun Temple Konark Later proceed for Bubneswar –The Temple city Of India. Visit Lingaraj,RajaRani, Mukteswar Temples & Jain Shrines Uday Giri,KhandaGiri Caves.Lunch at Bubneswar.Return To Puri enroute Visit Dhauli Santi Stupa.Do some last Minute shopping at Pipli appliqué Crafts Village . Return to the Hotel at evening. Dinner would be served In Time to Catch Train for Onward Journey.
